Dr. Alexander “Sandro” Sulakvelidze, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of Intralytix, Inc. He is an internationally recognized expert in phage technology, with over 25 years of experience working in the bacteriophage field, from candidate phage product development to regulatory approvals and subsequent commercialization. Dr. Sulakvelidze co-founded Intralytix in 1998, and he has been serving in different senior management positions in the Company since inception, until becoming President and CEO of Intralytix in 2020. Dr. Sulakvelidze earned his B.S. in Biology from Tbilisi State University and his Ph.D. from Tbilisi Medical University, both in Tbilisi, Georgia. He has completed his post-doctoral training at the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore Maryland.
